RYA Start Yachting / Yachting NZ Level 1
Course Content: A basic learn to sail course, where you will learn the fundamentals of sailing, including helming the yacht under sail, sail handling, motor use,anchoring, man overboard and safety procedures.

Course Duration: 2 sessions of 5 hours duration.

3 Day RYA Competent Crew / Yachting NZ Level 2 - Advanced Beginners
Course Content: This course builds on the skills learnt in the beginners courses and teaches seamanship, helmsmanship and personal safety to a level required to be a useful member of the crew on a cruising yacht. The course includes 4 hours of night sailing.
Previous Experience: A minimum of 10 hours in a learn to sail course.

RYA Day Skipper / Boatmaster Practical - Intermediate Skipper
Course Content: A practical yachting course to teach boat handling, helmsmanship, seamanship, pilotage and navigation to a standard required to safely skipper a small cruising yacht. This certificate is internationally recognised as a licence to charter.
Previous Experience: 5 days sea time and basic navigation skills

Previous Experience: 15 days sea time, 2 days as skipper, 300 nm logged, 8 night hours and navigation skills to Coastal Skipper standard.
